GUAVA International was honored to shared with graduate students on the strategic importance of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in advancing sustainability transformation.

Through the application of LCA methodology, organisations can systematically measure and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the product life cycle, strengthen environmental stewardship, and contribute meaningfully to the long-term sustainability of the tourism sector.

For GUAVA International, embedding LCA into our sustainability framework has not only enabled measurable GHG reductions — supported by formal certification — but has also reinforced brand credibility, transparency, and stakeholder trust.

The engagement underscored three critical insights from the students:

  • Sustainability frameworks such as LCA extend beyond academia and are directly applicable to real-world business strategy.

  • In an increasingly complex climate landscape, credible certification serves as a powerful communication and trust-building tool.

  • LCA is not solely an efficiency mechanism, but a strategic instrument for long-term resilience and future-proofing the business.
